Considered by many of his peers to be one of the very
best Japanese Yen traders in the World, Enrico brings with him over a
decade of experience from major financial institutions around the globe.
After graduating from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles
in 1988 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and
International Finance, Enrico joined the First Interstate Bank of
California (F.I.B.), Los Angeles- the leading foreign exchange bank in
North America at that time. While at First Interstate Bank, he had the
opportunity to learn the art of foreign currency trading from some of the
most respected traders in the field. After years of hard work and diligent
study, Mr. Caruso established himself as the top Japanese Yen trader in
the firm.
When First Interstate Bank was acquired by Standard Chartered Bank in
1993, Enrico was moved to New York City to help establish them as a first
tier bank in Japanese Yen trading. With his confident trading style and
knowledge of the markets he was able to manage numerous funds and large
customer accounts with a high level of profitability. Based on his
impressive reputation in the foreign exchange community, Mr. Caruso was
recruited by Banque IndoSuez and Banque Paribas to become their chief Yen
dealer. After three years of successful trading, he left to establish an
Asian block currency desk for Dresdner Klienwort Benson.
During his fourteen-year tenure in the foreign exchange markets, Enrico
has developed a very specialized understanding of the Japanese Yen as well
as an extensive network of contacts from leading banks and financial
institutions. The primary objective in his consistently profitable trading
style is to minimize draw downs by entering steeply trending markets with
predetermined risk levels, and to lock in profits by tightening his stop
loss orders as the market moves in his direction. Mr. Caruso has managed
money for billion dollar hedge funds, assisted central banks in currency
intervention campaigns, and designed profitable trading models and
front-end dealing systems for major financial institutions around the
world. Enrico has an impeccable reputation and is often quoted in many of
today’s most respected financial journals, including the New York Times,
Foreign Exchange Weekly, Reuters News, and Bridge News.
Mr. Caruso has worked closely with Chris Melendez over the past few years,
and has become one of the most integral parts of the Tempest trading team.
His ability to understand in-depth fundamental analysis and his sharp
attention to detail provide Tempest investor’s with an edge in the
international marketplace. Tempest Asset Management is proud to have
Enrico Caruso as our senior currency dealer and resident Japanese Yen
specialist. |
